Outcross

This is my girl Jasmine she is a beautiful calico domestic shorthaired girl who I bred to my boy Calvin Clien. Jasmine gave birth to 6 great F1 kittens on July 9 2008.
This is Madden he is our F1 kitten we choose to raise and to breed for the out-cross program. His mom is Jasmine and dad is Calvin. Madden is a seal and white pointed boy who is always happy, and loves everyone!
This is Calvin. Calvin was such a handsome boy, he is cream and white with nice blue eyes. Calvin was like a big teddy bear, he weighed 11 pounds and was very gentle and always looking for a cuddle. His favorite thing to do was to go outside and play in the sun!
Here is the princess Alaysja. She is a quiet girl, she will keep to herself until she decides that she wants to be loved and then there is no turning her down! She is a solid cream girl with the most perfect round blue eyes. Alaysha and Madden were bred in and had a bundle of babies on June 9 2009.
Then the babies arrived! Alaysja and Madden had 5 little F2 outcross kittens born on July 9 2009. They are all so adorable, I kept all of the girls and the one little boy Prince was placed in a wonderful pet home with two other kitties.
Well here we are 09/2010, and Paris, Pixie, and Penlope are all grown up and mamma's of there own! Penelope was first she had 6 wonderful babies, two girls and four boys on 04/23/2010. We kept her two babies girls and named them Leighton and LiLy-Ann., and they will be future momma's and are wonderful fun additions to the LiLNudists family!
The Sphynx is still considered rare to which the lineage is not as extensive as many other breeds. In order to develop healthy and hearty "new" bloodlines some breeders have decided to do out crossing to broaden the gene pool.
Breeders try to search for the right cat to enhance the features of the Sphynx, so as not to "over breed" causing to add to the numbers of unwanted pets. The Domestic Shorthair and the American Shorthair are two of the breeds most used in any one outcross program today.
It takes 3 generations of breeding or out-crossing to produce all hairless sphynx kittens. The first generation is called F1 kittens. These kittens are the result of breeding a domestic shorthair cat to a sphynx. In this first generation all of the kittens typically have fur. Then one maybe two kittens are chosen out of this F1 litter to keep and breed again to a sphynx cat. This breeding then produces 2nd generation or F2 kittens. Out of this F2 litter some babies can have hair and others will be hairless. The breeder then chooses which hairless sphynx F2 kittens to keep raise and breeds again to a sphynx. Now by this third generation or F3 babies, all kittens will be hairless just like a typical sphynx breeding.

Paris was next! She was bred to our stud boy Bentleigh and had 5 beautiful babies on July 18th 2010. She had three coated male babies with fur, one hairless male, and one precious hairless sphynx girl! All of the boys were neutered and placed in new loving homes, Paris's little girl Named Jayln Lactofur is going to live with our cattery partner Tina.
